This looks like the last coin (lot 246) in Real 8’s October 8th 1964 Christensen Sale. A gorgeous 1714 Galano (Royal) that realized only $3000. The catalogue says “magnificent full round specimen”. Neither Real 8 nor the cataloguer knew much about galanos at this point, but that changed quickly.
