1715 Mexico 8 Escudo

1715 Mexico 8 Escudo found in 1964.

This coin is a fully dated 1715. The quality of the photograph is rather poor and does not do the coin justice. It is round with a full shield, full OMJ and a nearly full Crown. The obverse is well centered. The Shield has brown sediment and/or ocean deposits typical of these pieces. The reverse has a well centered Cross which has been somewhat “washed out” by the photographic lighting. A good deal of the legend is also visible.
