The 1715 Fleet Society Nonprofit Corporation is the preeminent research organization on the 1715 Spanish Treasure Fleet, and this website features literally thousands of pages of documents, images, and scholarly observations on the Fleet’s loss and recovery.
We are extremely proud to have such a dedicated Board of Directors, and a knowledgable Advisory Board, the members of which each brings specific expertise to this website and the society in general.
Board of Directors
The primary responsibility of the Board of Directors is fundraising for the nonprofit corporation. This includes soliciting funds and pursuing grants.
Chairman of the Board
The primary responsibility of the Advisory Board is to provide content and advice for the day-to-day operations of the nonprofit corporation and to act as subject matter experts. Each one of our Advisory Board members has expertise in areas relevant to the 1715 Fleet. This knowledge is gained through archival research and other resources to which they have access.
