The 1715 Fleet Society is proud to bring you a Video Interview with Dr. Kip Kelso, one of the original Real 8 Company Members.
Kip Kelso was born in 1918 in Atlanta, Georgia. He was a long time resident of the Sebastian/Indian River County area in which he was the last descendent of four generations of physicians. He earned his medical degree at the University of Oklahoma. Together with his friend, Kip WagnerKip Wagner (1906 – 1972) was instrumental in the formation of the team that later became the Real Eight Company and one of the greatest salvage groups that ever explored the 1715 Fleet wrecks. He ... (another original Real 8 member), Dr. Kelso spent long hours doing archival research which ultimately led to the rediscovery and recovery of the ship wrecks of the 1715 Fleet. Dr. Kelso died in 2005.

Thank you for sharing.I really enjoyed it. Brought back a lot of memories. I remember Kip and Becky very well!
Sorry you had an issue with the file Jane. It’s working okay on our side. Is it possible there was an internet issue on your end?
I want to send to a friend but no room for his email address!
My grandfather was Dr. Kelso and I was too young to really get a chance to know him. This is great to read.

Thanks for getting in touch Kelly. Also, We’re trying to locate relatives (children, grandchildren, etc) of Real Eight members, so we’ll put you on the list and let you know if we have any events for the family members!
Thanks again!
