The São Jorge sank in 1524. Centuries later, could it have appeared off the coast of Kenya?

In 2016, the timbers of a ship’s hull were discovered amidst the coral located roughly 1,640 feet from the shore of Malindi, Kenya. Now, a study published in the Journal of Maritime Archaeology suggests that this remarkable wreckage may have been part of the final voyage of famed explorer Vasco da Gama.
