JOIN WRECKWATCH TV’s QUEST FOR THE PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN’S LOST KINGDOM

This Fall, Wreckwatch TV is heading to Nassau in New Providence, the Bahamas, to make the first ever documentary film about the real pirates of the Caribbean in their home town – the pirate’s republic that created legends like Henry Avery, Blackbeard, Anne Bonny and Jack Rackham.

We’ve got the first permission from the authorities in the Bahamas to dive for pirate wrecks off Nassau. What’s out there? Henry Avery’s flagship, the Fancy? Charles Vane’s French fire ship that attacked Woodes Rogers’ English fleet? And prizes scuttled by the infamous Flying Gang? We’re going underwater to find out the truth.

On land, Wreckwatch’s divers, archaeologists and historians are poring over maps, imagery and satellite photos to reconstruct the pirate harbour and what ‘Piratetown’ really looked like. The research will end with the first historically realistic reconstruction of Nassau in the golden age of piracy, with the Flying Gang menacing its lanes once more. Dead men do tell tales.
