Coin Description: Full date 1704 Mexico Eight Reales. 26.6 grams. Partial “OM(L)”. Obverse shows approximately 50% of the shield which in not distinctly struck. The date however is very clear as is the “OM”. Reverse cross is off center but nearly complete. All of the lions and castles can be seen but are somewhat flat. The flatness of some of the obverse and reverse features, however, do not detract from the overall appearance of this coin. The planchet is very compact and “chunky” which makes it a very attractive coin for this date.
