Coin Description: Partial date (1)713 Mexico Eight Reales. 25.9 grams partial “O(MJ)”. Obverse shows well centered shield nearly 80% complete with a reasonably strong strike. The “713” of the date is very strongly struck. The reverse shows a well centered cross but is only about half complete. The lion in the lower left quadrant and the castle in the upper left quadrant are nicely stuck. The castle in the lower right quadrant is not visible and the vague outline of a lion in the upper right quadrant can be seen. Hammer marks are visible on the reverse. Overall surfaces are smooth and pleasing with no significant corrosion.
