Coin Description: Partial date (17)15 Mexico Eight Reales. 26.3 grams full “OMJ”. Note that the “J” is slightly tilted which indicates an interesting die variety. The coin is not totally clean and still exhibits residue and other deposits. The shield is about 60% complete. The reverse cross is nicely centered but not very clear due to deposits. Also there is evidence of flatness. The lions and castles are present but not very distinct again due to sediment. Upon close inspection the surfaces are quite nice with little corrosion as reflected in the weight. This is a beach find from Hurricane Jeanne, September 2004.
