A major Real Eight auction of artifacts, silver and gold coins takes place at the Parke-Bernet Galleries in New York City.

The Parke-Bernet sale offered 315 lots of treasure from the 1715 Fleet.

  • 42 lots were reales from Lima and Potosi.
