As previously announced on January 1st, 2022, the 1715 Fleet Society has been reconstituted as a 501c(3) nonprofit corporation. Because of this change, the corporate structure of the new organization is different than what we previously had.
Our Board of Directors, which is now listed on the home page of the website and on the director’s page, has the primary responsibility of raising funds for the Society either through direct solicitation or the implementation of grants.
In addition to the Board of Directors, we have a separate board of advisors (Advisory Board) whose job will be to provide historical research and other related material and to offer opinions in their areas of expertise. This type of information is invaluable to the Society and is designed to foster our mission of education and cultivation of the history of the 1715 Fleet, among other things.
You can view the Board of Directors and Advisory Board members and their bios here.
