As previously reported (see post of May 22, 2023, here) the Fleet Society was fortunate enough to obtain the library of Ernie Richards, a founding member of the Fleet Society and author, researcher, and publisher. Throughout the years Ernie was a prominent figure in the shipwreck community. His recent retirement prompted him to sell his vast library which he accumulated over decades. This acquisition was made possible through a generous contribution by Fleet Society member Rick Beleson ( # 51).
The purchase of this library has prompted the Society to move forward with the leasing of space large enough to house and display the library as well as provide an office from which to conduct the Society’s business. The official address is:
