In the silty waters off Ile Sainte-Marie, a small island near Madagascar, a centuries-old shipwreck lies buried in muck and mystery.
Thousands of miles from Cape Cod, a team of local archaeologists from the Center for Historic Shipwreck Preservation — the same organization that found the pirate ship Whydah Galley off Wellfleet in 1984 — believe they’ve found another legend from the golden age of piracy: the Nossa Senhora do Cabo.
