Yesterday we received the sad news that our long-time Advisory Board member John de Bry passed away on Saturday, February 1st at the age of 81.
John was a long-time supporter of the 1715 Fleet Society and contributed his time and talents to helping the society get established in its early years. John was a participant in separate conferences sponsored by the Society and donated many documents and pictures which are now a part of the Society’s archives.Â
A memorial chronicling his life will be posted in the near future.
