Advisory Board Scholar’s Daughter Takes Top Prize

Jorge Proctor is a happy man. Our Advisory Board’s archival researcher with an international reputation has a lot to be happy about. On Sunday, January 26, his daughter Jacquelyn participated in her first out of state gymnastics competition In Richmond, Virginia. This competition was sponsored by Insider Gymnastics Classic Competition (a women’s artistic gymnastics competition open to USA Gymnastics.)

Jacquelyn won first place in the vault, uneven bars, and beam as well as second place on the floor. Her combined score on all four events earned her the top spot in the all-around for her age group Level 3. This is the second time that she placed first in the all-around, as she achieved this honor last year at a competition in Lake Worth, Florida.

It looks like Jorge will be busy as Jacquelyn is sure to be entering (and hopefully winning) many competitions in the near future. Olympics maybe? We’ll see.
