For this months’ treasure we feature the complete gold rosary consisting of chain, crucifix and medallions. Weighing a hefty 64.2 g, this impressive item from the 1715 Fleet is completely intact and impressively stunning. Found on the Cabin Wreck in the summer of 1993, the rosary features three medallions, each one with the image of a different saint or of the Christ Child. The crucifix is perfect, with an ornate carving on the reverse. All in all, a superior artifact. Image and text courtesy of Daniel Frank Sedwick.
