We were pleased to receive a letter from the Mayor of Ft. Pierce, Florida (Linda Hudson) inviting the Fleet Society and its members to visit Ft. Pierce in conjunction with the upcoming 300th Anniversary of the loss of the 1715 Fleet.
Fleet Society Director, Ben Costello, contacted Mayor Hudson to acknowledge receipt of her kind letter. He offered to visit her in January of 2015 as he works on preparations for Commemoration Week (July 26, 2015 – August 2, 2015).
Arrangements are being made for a meeting to take place at the Mayor’s convenience sometime in January.
