Today, Brent Brisben of 1715 Fleet-Queens Jewels, LLC., announced the recovery of over 350 gold coins including nine Royals on July 30 – 31, 2015. This announcement came within weeks of the news conference held in Sebastian, Florida which revealed the discovery of 53 gold coins and a gold Royal dated 1715 recovered by the Schmitt family near Ft. Pierce, Florida.
Brisben’s recent recovery occurred on the 300th Anniversary of the loss of the 1715 Fleet. According to Brisben, the founder of 1715 Fleet-Queens Jewels, LLC, the nine Royals were dated 1711 and 1712.
Brisben was quoted as saying that 230 gold coins were found on July 30, 2015 and another 75 more on July 31, 2015.
