DATELINE: Washington, Pennsylvania

Today marks the second anniversary of the death of my friend and mentor, Lou Ullian.  Lou was an inspiration and a great source of information about the 1715 Fleet.  Just prior to his death, I was fortunate enough to secure his journal which contained information that he gathered over years of salvaging the 1715 wrecks.  In his journal Lou recorded day to day operations and information regarding what was found, where it was found and when it was found.  In addition, Lou has detailed information regarding wreck sites, including hand drawn maps together with latitudes and longitudes. We are currently studying this historic information.
Lou is sorely missed but reading his journal is like listening to him tell a story. I was very fortunate to have been able to obtain this wonderful piece of Fleet history.
