This Day in Fleet History – July 24th, 1715

The 1715 Fleet consisting of the New Spain Armada under the command of Don Juan Esteban de Ubilla and the Tierra Firme Armada commanded by Don Antonio de Echeverz y Zubiza left Havana for Spain. They were accompanied by a French frigate, the El Grifon.
