Sixty meters beneath the Baltic, an intact ship holds champagne and luxury goods untouched for generations.

Although the sonar image of the object looked small enough to allow for a short dive, Polish divers investigating the Baltic Sea thought it could have just as easily been a fishing boat; so far today they’d already made one dive. Marek Cacaj and Pawel Truszynski were going to take another peek at the bottom regardless.
What was originally intended to be a very brief inspection turned into nearly two hours of time spent under water by Cacaj and Truszynski.
At the base of the ocean they found a sailboat from the 19th Century that was virtually intact and lying approximately 60 meters beneath the surface. It lay approximately 20 nautical miles north west of the Swedish island of Öland. Cacaj would later report that there had been little to no damage to the vessel other than what appeared to be damage to the bow area.
It was then that the divers discovered the bottles.
