Bell metal is a hard alloy consisting primarily of copper with a smaller percentage of tin and is used for making bells and related instruments. From our research, it appears that most if not all of these large ingots were recovered from the Cabin Wreck. Of those found, the majority reside in the State of Florida Collection.
