The Treasure of the Month for November is a group of religious items consisting of a cross, a crucifix and a medallion. Unlike many gold and gem-studded religious artifacts, these are made of bronze. Nevertheless, they are superb specimens. The cross to the left was found at the Corrigan’s Wreck Site. Best evidence indicates that it was found in the 1970’s or early 1980’s. The crucifix in the center was found in 1962 at the Cabin Wreck Site. According to documents that accompany this item, it was found under a cannon near the second reef. The medallion on the right was also found in 1962 at the Cabin Wreck Site at the edge of the first reef.
