For our upcoming convention in January, we will, as usual, be producing a program. We have been told that programs from our previous conferences have become somewhat of a collector’s item. And why is that? This is probably because our previous programs were designed with distinctive covers. In 2015, when we commemorated the 300th Anniversary of the loss of the 1715 Fleet, our Society logo graced the cover. In 2017, the Spanish Coat of ArmsInsignia of a family or country, containing specific figures and colors and passed along through hereditary lineage. superimposed on a dark sea was the subject used for our conference at Flagler College in St. Augustine. In 2022, a painting that depicted the wreckage of a destroyed Spanish galleon on a Florida beach was chosen for the cover of our conference held in Vero Beach. And finally, last year’s program featured a diver working to recover a cannon from the ocean floor.
What’s next? We don’t know, but when we have arrived at a decision, you all will be the first to know!
