Let me introduce Jacob Makusenka, a budding numismatist, who recently attended his first coin show at the Monroeville Convention Center in Monroeville, Pa. The annual Fall Coin Show was sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association of Numismatists (PAN). Young Mr. Makusenka went through the bourse floor with great eagerness, purchasing numerous numismatic (and some non-numismatic) items. (He has a penchant for fossils as well). Some of his newly acquired treasures include a Large Penny (his first), a Morgan Silver Dollar, a bag of 500 mixed wheat cents and an assortment of world coins, to name a few.
In this picture, he is holding a silver Tumbaga Bar, which was on display at the table of PAN Board Member, Richard Jewell. This was also a first for him.
We are told by his mother that Jacob is already looking forward to his next coin show. I warned his mother that this would happen once numismatics got into his blood. One more thing, he is the newest member of the Pennsylvania Association of Numismatists.
