The 1715 Fleet Society Board of Directors has announced that the next Fleet Society Conference will be held in Vero Beach, Florida from Monday, January 12 to Thursday, January 15, 2026. The Conference will follow the 71st Annual Florida United Numismatists Show (FUN) that will be in Orlando, Florida from January 7 to January 11, 2026.
The venue in Vero Beach will be announced once arrangements have been made. It is anticipated that a reception will be held in the afternoon of Monday, January 12, 2026. The actual Conference itself has been expanded from 2 days to 3 days. Tuesday, January 13 and Wednesday, January 14 will be devoted to all things 1715 Fleet-related. On Thursday, January 15, the focus will be on other interesting shipwrecks, treasure, hoards, and finds.
The Society Board would like to sponsor a dinner on the final day of the Conference but whether or not this is feasible will depend on funds received for the Conference. Like last year, we will feature sponsorships of various levels to be determined. We already have several speakers lined up and we’ll be seeking sponsors in the near future.
Due to the increasing number of attendees, we may have to seek a venue larger than we have had in the past. Those of you who attended our last Conference in January of this year, are aware of the spatial challenges we faced.
More information about our Conference will be posted as decisions are made. The intention of this post is to alert our members and the public as to the dates for our upcoming Conference.
