In November of 2020, we started a new feature on our website from the archives of the Plus Ultra Newsletter. Those of you who are familiar with Plus Ultra know that it was published from 1983 until 2016 and was considered to be a leading authority on all things Fleet related. A regular feature of each issue was the “Cover Coin” which was a coin prominently displayed on the cover of the newsletter along with a short summary explaining the significance of the coin. Initially, we were given permission to feature a total of 18 coins that graced the covers of Plus Ultra from 2009 to 2016. Our last “Cover Coin” was posted in November 2022 which brought an end to the series. We would like to thank Ernie Richards, the editor of the Plus Ultra Newsletter”, for granting us permission to feature these coins on our website.
