Greetings. In just a few weeks the Florida United Numismatists will host its 58th Annual Convention at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. The show will run from January 10-13, 2013. Like last year, The 1715 Fleet Society will sponsor a table (544) where eager volunteers will be available to answer questions and distribute informational material (as long as it lasts). In 2012 we were warmly received by all who visited us. We are looking forward to seeing old friends and making new acquaintances as the 300th Anniversary of the 1715 Fleet Disaster draws near.
Also, this year the Fleet Society has been asked to give a presentation on Thursday, January 10 at 3:00 pm. The topic will be “The 300th Anniversary of the Loss of the 1715 Fleet – AN UPDATE”. Specific details about the presentation (Room number, etc.) will be outlined in the Convention Program. I hope that all those who share our passion about the anniversary of this significant historical event can attend this lecture
