Mike Brown, noted diver and author from Albany, Georgia has been formally inducted into the 1715 Fleet Society Honor Roll. The Society’s Honor Roll recognizes individuals whose efforts in discovery, recovery, archaeology, writing or research have enriched our lives and expanded our knowledge regarding the 1715 Fleet.

Mike has personally been involved in recovering  several significant artifacts and coins, his most notable being a two escudo gold coin from the Cuzco Mint (Peru) dated 1698 which he found on July 31, 2010.

Mike was nominated to be among our Honor Roll elite a few months ago. We delayed his induction until today so that he could be officially become a member on the 300th anniversary of the loss of the 1715 Fleet and the 3rd anniversary of his finding the two escudo gold coin form the Cuzco Mint.
