Greetings. Welcome to springtime in western Pennsylvania. Yesterday it was sunny and 55. Tomorrow’s temperature, 68. Our members who occupy the sunny climes of Florida don’t often get a chance to see snow in April, so I thought that I would accommodate them with these pictures taken in my front yard this morning.
Fortunately, I will be in Florida for a visit in a few weeks where I hope to get some sunshine. Those who have lived in western Pennsylvania know that sunny days are at a premium here. In fact, Pittsburgh (the largest city in western Pennsylvania), ranks number two in the country on the dreariness index (right behind Buffalo, N.Y.). So, if you wake up to sun on a regular basis, just be glad you don’t live in western Pennsylvania.
