The 1715 Fleet Society is pleased to announce the 10th Anniversary of our website. First launched on May 1, 2011, our site has grown from a few dozen page views per month in May, 2011 to over 6,000 page views per month in March, 2021. Thanks to our many dedicated supporters and contributors, our site is now recognized as a valuable resource for those wishing to advance their knowledge of the 1715 Fleet, its loss, rediscovery and recovery. Our Treasure of the Month remains the most popular feature of the website and receives the most comments. Our IT Staff (Craig Grella and Meredith Hoppe) deserve a lot of credit for our success. Craig has enhanced our internet profile with his innovative contributions to the website and is constantly coming up with new ideas to make the site more internet friendly and cell phone compatible. Meredith is hard at work posting things and making necessary corrections in a timely manner. She is both responsive and eager to work with our staff (me) to get things posted correctly.
We have many new ideas which will be incorporated into the website to continue to provide a venue that is not only informative, but also entertaining. We hope that our efforts will be well received and, hopefully, lead to our 20th Anniversary.
