Recently our Fleet Society Librarian, Dave Crooks (member # 7) sent me this book to add to our library. The book was published in 1965 and is dedicated by the author (Walter R. Heller) to those hardy pioneers who recorded their experiences and knowledge for the benefit of future generations. The book discusses the early history of the Treasure Coast. Today we would refer to this as a historical travel guide. There is a small section on the 1715 Fleet with black and white images of coins and artifacts.
Overall, the book is a very interesting read as it details early life in and around the Treasure Coast. Many thanks to Dave for finding and securing this most interesting addition to our library.
