What’s Out There?

HERE is an interesting article sent to us by Fleet Society Advisory Board member Dave Crooks. Dave serves as the Society Librarian. This article was published by BBC Future and deals with current issues surrounding shipwrecks. It highlights the fact that shipwrecks in deep water can now be recovered and that dramatically increases the number of shipwrecks that are out there and can be located and salvaged. The question of who owns these wrecks in deep water and the continued dispute between salvagers and archaeologists will certainly be at the center of future recoveries.
